Dr Kieron Swift is the Business Unit Manager – Competitiveness and Innovation in the Ministry of Planning and Development. 

He works in the areas of innovation and competitiveness, including the implementation of the National Innovation Policy, execution of a technological foresighting exercise to inform the establishment of specialist R&D centres, and advising the Global Services Promotion Programme for ICT-enabled service firms. Kieron’s background is in Science, Technology and Innovation Policy, national ICT for Development Policy and Project Management. He has a BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of the West Indies, an MSc in Public Policies for Science, Technology and Innovation, and a PhD in Science and Technology Policy from the University of Sussex in the UK.
